Managing Heat

Posted on February 15, 2024

Heat stress is not good for pigs. Very hot temperatures can cause heat stress, which can make pigs withdraw from feed. The feed intake may reduce up to 50% if the temperatures are too high.

- Continous withdrawal from feed may affect their growth.

- Provide enough quality drinking water for your animals and pay attention to their water intake.

- Make sure that your pigs drinking nipples are placed well for easy access.
